Hi, I'm an INFJ married to an INFP and I joined your tribe temporarily to ask this question. It feels like all our Netflix suggestions are more geared towards me since I am more vocal about my opinions, so I was hoping for some suggestions from you guys. Thanks!

INFP is a behavior preference. It can tell you how a person gives directions or whether they'll show up time, but the MBTI preferences isn't really a good indicator of favorite movies.

If you want to counteract the behavior of your INFP husband not speaking up, then I suggest that you make him choose at least two movies per month. Two per month is plenty because just because an INFP picks a movie they like, it doesn't mean they'll watch it when it arrives. We INFPs will watch it if we feel like it. If not we'll return unwatched and get it again at some later date.

Don't feel bad if your NetFlix account is all your movies. My wife is an INTJ. I have all her movies listed first because I know she'll actually watch hers. When I really want to see something, I'll bump my movie to the top.

I actually like anything except lots of comedies. (Well the kind that are just stupid. i.e. Will Ferrell movies, or the :kick in the nuts, or belching, etc, it's more or less "how old are we?") But comedies like "Airplane" or actual humor I LOVE. Action movies are great just to get out of the house, and anything that has a twist, or has an emotional outcome (whether it be happy, sad, angry, or pending)

One of my favorite movies of all time is Will Ferrell's Stranger Than Fiction. I love sci-fi. Resident Evil 2 was kick ass.

Like I said, being an INFP is not an indicator of what genre of movie a person likes. INFP is a behavioral preference not a personality indicator. Have your husband take the Personality Self-Portrait. That's a better indicator of likes and dislikes.

I enjoy horror, suspense, thrillers and dark comedies. I really like how someone said don't be surprised if we return a movie unwatched and get it at a later time to view it. For me this is so true.

I know I'm responding late, but after seeing that one response I thought it was so fitting that I had to respond.

Definitely horror and dark comedy for me. I don't like light comedies in general, but I actually do like Will Ferrell as a comedic actor and found Stranger than Fiction very moving.

My mother and I, who are both INFP's, enjoy some films in most if not all genres, but we almost always like psychological thrillers. The Matrix, Artificial Intelligence, Primal Fear, and Frequency are a few that come to mind that fall under that category. In contrast, we both hated Snow Dogs and we both thought Star Wars was dull.
