A Rare Charming Celebrity Coupling

Much of the celebrity behavior reported, usually about love lives, goes against my "deeply held beliefs." It sickens me, I never become wholly numb to it, and it gives me another reason to avoid most movies and TV shows.

About a week ago, I finished reading a book, a good one, called Franny and Zooey. A few days ago, I read that actress/singer Zooey Deschanel (named after the character, who surprisingly is male) is now engaged to the Death Cab for Cutie singer (Ben Gibbard). I didn't even know they were dating. I don't know much about him, other than a few songs by the band and his homely appearance. I know more about her. If she's INFP, I wouldn't be surprised. I am pleasantly surprised by a coupling that very possibly is based on love and compatibility instead of the flimsy things so often depicted in the media. Celebrity relationships face some unique stressors, so I hope their foundation is strong.

From the outside yeah I guess it is an odd pairing. But they both are creative people.

That definitely can be a common thread.I think he is a great musician and she a great

actress I don't care too much for her music though. The problem with most celebrity

relationships is they put too much info out there for the media. And the relationship ends

up taking on a whole life of its own ex:jlo and ben affleck, brad pitt and jen anaston.

The ones that are successful and stay together are the ones who are tight lipped about

    their private lives.

I don't care much for the one She & Him song I know. It's lightweight, and her voice is mediocre. The relationship interests me more. I wasn't explicit about it, but that it's being kept private and his lack of obvious appeal (looks, riches) makes me think they might beat the celebrity odds. Another problem I have with Hollywood relationships is that they often seem for show. Love is between two people, period.

Also, I've been doing a little interview watching. She appears less animated than her image (style, acting roles*) suggests, consistent with an artsy INFP, I think. This seems to be a typical interview, with bonus viewer commentary on her engagement.

And one with her discussing her interests and habits.

I've only seen her in music videos and interviews.
"Zooey Deschanel is like the ultimate hipster fantasy girl. Too bad she isn't a good actress and all her movies are shit! " - lol, I don't know about her acting, but I haven't wanted to see the movies.

She's a Capricorn. They're not big on pda. Conservative and feel much more open and

uninhibited when they're around people they know and love. Quirky sense of humor.

Conscious of how they appear to others in the public eye. Her zodiac sign fits her

as well. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And she sees beauty in the guy from death

        cab for cutie.
